It’s Frohe Weihnachten from us at Southbank Investment Research.

That’s right, Germans like me celebrate Christmas a day early, on Christmas Eve. Purely to get our presents before you do.

By the time you read this, I’ll be lying on the beach in a place called Ishigaki.

Not for pleasure, of course. It’s the third Japanese island China would invade after taking Taiwan.

So, I’d better keep a sharp lookout…

We hope you had a great year in the markets and beyond.

Next year promises to be tumultuous with a wobbling Starmer government, Norway’s plans to cut Europe’s cable-ties, US mid-terms, a new Fed Chair and Japan’s attempt to stimulate its way out of inflation.

Good luck!

We’re going to need it…

Until next time,
