We’re in the midst of an earnings EXTRAVAGANZA! (As Nick likes to put it).
SpaceX, Amazon, AMD, Big Oil, Big Tech, big profits, big earnings, big expectations.
Maybe it should be an “expectations extravaganza”?
Point is, what is the point of earnings?
Do we really even need them?
Or is this just a way for Wall Street to vindicate itself for anyone paying attention four times a year? And these “expectations” who makes them and why is it that every time they are beaten, a stock tends to fall lower, then boom higher?
Smells like the robots are taking over… or perhaps they already did.
We dive into the latest batch of earnings, consider what it means and if the AI trade is still on or if the bubble is real, along with big oil and how karma has come full circle on Sam’s kids.
Until next time,

PS Everything above is about the next three months. Beating expectations, missing expectations, Wall Street marking its own homework four times a year. But there’s a much bigger question underneath all of it… what the next 30 years actually look like. I’ve put something together on exactly that, and it’s landing in your inbox at exactly 7PM BST. It will be an email from me, Sam Volkering. Don’t let it get buried.
Forget AI, America’s No.1 forecaster says a bigger boom is coming:
“I’ve invested $1 million of my own money to prepare for this…”
He predicted the Financial Crash, both Trump victories and 2025’s record rare metals surge that saw stocks soar as much as 645%
Now discover the move he is making as America seeks to unlock a home grown fortune potentially worth trillions on Friday, May 15th
Find out what that move is right here >>
